Mariotti , when it comes to a portraits, thinks of hands ! You touch in order to understand , you touch in order to love, you touch in order to model , to create , so for him the sensibility and the character of the individuals is hidden in the form of their hands.

In the oriental disciplines , such as Yoga, Reiki etc, the hands are in intimate connection with the heart , so they express it’s needs and feelings and in that sense they reveal the the most profound part of a human being, not yet modeled by the intellect and society’s rules.

His future project ' No Face Portraits' is based on asking ,those who are interested to participate, a sketch of their hand and use it as a base in order to paint their portrait !
